Hudson

Founded in 1840 on the banks of the Ottawa River, Hudson is located in the suburbs of Montreal, about 30 minutes from downtown and about 20 minutes from the Ontario border. With a population of 5,000 (2007), Hudson is composed of approximately 35% French speakers and 65% English speakers and allophones.

Hudson is full of outdoor activities, including three golf courses, beaches (Yacht Club and Sandy Beach), numerous sports parks, and recreational parks (private lake stocked with trout). Hudson residents are very proud of their community, and even if life takes them elsewhere, sooner or later they always come back!
